1. ABSOLUTE RETURN – WEALTH MANAGEMENT STRATEGY

  • Return Objective : KYD TL Annual Deposit Rate + %10.
  • Investment Strategy: : Long / Short Equity, Statistical Arbitrage): As part of this strategy, using top-down (macro-economic variables) and bottom up (company and sector specific) approach, we will invest in relatively undervalued stocks. A short hedge will be created to minimize the risk of the position.
  • Investor Profile (Low risk): Investors whose primary goal is to preserve capital and obtain returns in excess of KYD TL Annual Deposit Rate
  • Investment Instruments (The variable income instruments): Capital markets instruments, interest rate products, foreign currency, index and commodity derivatives, Futures & Forward and Options (both Exchange and OTC) , Certificates and Swaps can be used. Various instruments can be borrowed or lent at a fee. Principal protected investment instruments and discounted certificated can be purchased.
  • Benchmark :KYD TL Annual Deposit Rate.

2. EQUITY - WEALTH MANAGEMENT STRATEGY

  • Return Objective : BIST 100 Index Annual Performance * %75 + %10. The primary objective of the strategy is to benefit from high return nature of the stocks.
  • Investment Strategy(Long Equity) : Invests %60 of the portfolio on a daily basis, %75 of the portfolio on a monthly basis in Turkish equities. Away from short-term price fluctuations, the strategy will focus on growth stock with sustainable profitability. Being guided by Research and GPS (Gedik Private Strategy), our stock selection is based on the fundamental analysis and asset allocation is based upon domestic and global macro-economic landscape and market conditions. To mitigate the downside risk, short positions can be established by hedging %50 of the portfolio via options or short put positions.
  • Investor Profile: High risk

3. FIXED INCOME - WEALTH MANAGEMENT STRATEGY

  • Return Objective: %2 above the monthly KYD TL Deposit Rate
  • Investment Strategy (Long positions in government and corporate bonds ) : %80 of the portfolio is invested in fixed and floating rate fixed income securities on a daily basis
  • Investor Profile: Low risk
  • Investment Instruments: Fixed Income Securities
  • Benchmark: %90 BIST – KYD Eurobond USD ( TL ), %10 BIST – KYD Repo Gross Index
  • Performance Period: Every 6 months

4. FOREIGN CURRENCY WEALTH MANAGEMENT

  • Return Objective: %2 + USD Deposit Rate
  • Investment Strategy: Long positions in government and corporate Eurobonds. Investing at least %80 of the portfolio in domestic or foreign fixed income securities (fixed or floating rate) on a daliy basis. %20 gets invested in domestic or foreign money or capital markets instruments.
  • Investor Profile: Low Risk
  • Investment Instruments: Fixed Income Securities
  • Benchmark: %90 BIST – KYD Eurobond USD ( TL ), %10 BIST – KYD Repo Gross Index
  • Performance Period: Every 6 months
  • Management Fee: %1 per annum (%0.00274 daily)
  • Performance Fee: %20 over benchmark
  • Tax: %10 on the option profit and government and corporate bonds, %15 on time deposit and repurchase agreements. Eurobond coupon payments are not subject to withholding tax deduction, the investor is required to declare the income from Eurobonds.

5. PRINCIPAL PROTECTED USD/TL WEALTH MANAGEMENT STRATEGY

  • Return Objective: %7 - %21 gross annual performance
  • Investment Strategy: The strategy is designed to produce income by predicting the number of days the USD/TL exchange rate will stay between a certain trading band. %95 of the portfolio will be invested in BIST reverse repurchase agreements and private placement corporate bonds issued by Gedik Yatırım. %5 of the portfolio will be used to purchase options that will insure our expectation that USD/TRY will trade between a certain band. The expectation of the strategy is that the principal will be paid back at the maturity if the option is “in-the-money” at the maturity.
